Hello! I’m Carrie.
I studied Graphic Design, as well as, Digital and Interactive Media Design in college. After graduating, I worked corporate, but I always dreamed of having my own art studio.
Years later, after painting whimsical portraits to add more joy to my life, I took the leap and launched this mobile art studio in hopes of sharing that same joy with others.
Today, Whimsy Wild + Free's studio is based in my home in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, which I share with my Husband and 3 dogs (2 Pugs and a Bugg). When we aren't in the studio, you can find us at our RV lot in Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada.
The goal isn’t to create a masterpiece, but to feel (a little more) wild + free.
All of our paintings are designed with a 2-hour time frame in mind. Our simple compositions and colour palettes take the pressure off “creating a masterpiece” and ensure that your guests will not only have fun, but will also leave with a painting they’re proud of.
